Michigan based math-rock group, Fallow Land, are about to release their debut album Slow Down, Rockstar July 26 through Spartan Records. We are pleased to premiere their newest single, “The Body”. Twinkly and rhythmic at its core, the track is about the struggle of finding a balance between emotional and physical intimacy.

Guitarist, Evan Veasey shared that, “‘The Body’ was written around the start of my first serious relationship. During that time I was in the process of learning what emotional intimacy was while also dispelling my own misconceptions about the same thing. I found that while the closeness I was looking for in a relationship did exist, and was as powerful and joyous as I thought it would be, it also at the same time could be scary and overwhelming. I discovered It takes fortitude and strength of self to make sense of the brand new feelings real intimacy can bring. This song is about that discovery.”

Slow Down, Rockstar marks a new era for the band. The album displays advanced maturity and expresses a sense sonic progression for the group. Mixed and produced by Matt Bayles (Minus the Bear, Pearl Jam, and more), each track is mastered with extreme clarity and deliberate complexities. Slow Down, Rockstar is now available for pre-order. You can also catch the band on tour later this July at the following dates below.
